“There Was a Tremendous Sense of Pride in the Work Performed…”
“We Are Thrilled With the Results!”
We hired Delta to do a complete kitchen renovation for our home and are thrilled with the results!
We also worked with their designer, Monica Moll. Monica took my aesthetic and narrowed down the thousands of choices to ones she knew I would like.
She was very knowledgeable about the best choices for our budget and lifestyle (kids, pets, etc). During the renovation, Monica was still involved, making sure everything was being constructed as we designed.
We did a total gut and renovation, so this was a big job. Mike and his crew were always on time and respectful of our time and space. Mike was always around for important decisions and the start of each new part of the job. The estimates for the time and the cost were as accurate as possible as well.
I would highly recommend both Delta and Monica Moll for home renovation projects! I am already planning to turn my basement into a guest suite, and will be hiring them both again.

“I Never Have to Try to Find Another Company to Call, It Will Always Be Delta Construction.”
I hired Mike the day I interviewed him, actually, I only talked with one other person. I just knew he was going to produce quality craftsmanship I expected. I had the end result of my sunroom in mind, but had no idea how to get there.
Mike helped me every step of the way by discussing options and ideas we both. He made sure every detail was confirmed with me so there were no surprises.
He and his talented, polite staff can take care of any project you have at your home, new construction, renovations, painting, roofing, electrical and plumbing. I never have to try to find another company to call, it will always be Delta Construction.

Reasons To Consider Ithaca Renovation Over Relocation
Constantly upgrading to a bigger and better or newer and more costly home used to be the norm, but people are seeing the value in hanging on to what they have and making it the best home they can. The days of disposable home purchases are past for many as homeowners realize that investing and paying off can lead to a more secure long-term future. That doesn’t mean, however, that homeowners are happy with the purchases they’ve made, but many are seeing that Ithaca renovation companies can help them transform what they already own into the showplaces they dream of.
So, why would homeowners want to consider hiring an Ithaca renovation company versus selling and moving on to a different home that more readily meets the picture of “ideal?” Here are just a few reasons why renovation makes sense over relocation when it’s at all possible:
- Greater bang for the investment buck – Constantly relocating and purchasing new homes can leave homeowners in never-ending debt. Paying off a 15, 20 or 30 year mortgage becomes somewhat impossible when new loans are continuously in the picture. It often just makes more sense to hang on and rehabilitate the home you are in while paying off the debt once and for all.
- Less upheaval – Moving is a very big undertaking and when it’s in the cards frequently it’s hard to lay down roots. When a solidly constructed home is renovated to meet design ideals, there’s no need to move and there’s no need to face chaos. Renovations can be handled piecemeal, making it possible to continue living in a home while it’s being upgraded in many cases.
- More stability – Moving from neighborhood to neighborhood in the same town might not seem like it will take a toll on stability, but it can. This is especially so if children are in the equation. Kids may face school changes, a need to make new friends and a shakeup in their routine. When stability matters, it can make a great deal of sense to renovate rather than relocate.
If it’s time to look into Ithaca renovation to make an older home shine, contractors are standing by to help. Work with a pro and it’s possible to turn an older home or a less-than-desirable model into a showplace that fits the “dream home” bill without all the fuss and muss that can along with moving and incurring a reset on that mortgage clock.
Tips For Hiring An Ithaca Construction Company
Hiring an Ithaca construction company is a very big step toward getting a dream project completed. Make the right choice in hiring and the entire project should flow as smoothly as possible. Choose poorly, however, and you might find yourself wishing the project had never been undertaken.
Fortunately, there are some great ways to ensure that a reputable Ithaca construction company is hired for the job. Here are some tips that can help even a first-timer make a great hiring choice:
- Interview multiple companies – Just like large corporations and government agencies insist on getting at least three quotes before moving ahead with a big project, homeowners should do the same. This helps not only ensure that fair pricing is attached to the project, but also that options are explored to locate the best possible fit for the job.
- Pay attention to “gut instincts” – If you’re working on a home remodel, for example, you want work with an Ithaca construction company whose employees you feel comfortable talking with. Your contractor should take your ideas and run with them, not run with their own ideas. Clear communication on this front is essential.
- Look at past work – Most contractors have plenty of examples of completed projects. Take a look at what the companies you are considering hiring can do. It’s also a good idea to speak with past clients about their experiences in working with companies.
- Look into licensing and insurance – A reputable Ithaca construction company will go above and beyond to make sure its clients are well protected during the construction process. This means they not only bring the proper state licensing to the table, but also insurance to cover liability situations and workers compensation to ensure employees are protected. Ask about licensing and insurance when hiring a construction company. If these things are not readily available, keep looking before making a final hire.
- Ask around – Word-of-mouth recommendations are often the very best when it’s time to hire an Ithaca construction company. Ask friends or coworkers who they’ve used in the past and pay attention to the firms that comes the most highly recommended. It’s also a very good idea to look into standing with the Better Business Bureau.
Hiring an Ithaca construction company is a big undertaking, but there are ways to find the best. Don’t rush into hiring the first company in the book. Take some time to review the options and select the most reputable firm that meets personal requirements.
What to Consider Before Calling an Ithaca Renovation Expert
Making the decision to renovate and remodel and older home or building rather than build new or move out entirely is a great way to make an older investment pay off dividends. It’s a big decision, however, that does quite often require an Ithaca renovation expert to complete. Hiring a contractor to take your visions for a remodel and make them reality is a very big step. With that in mind, chances are you want to make the best hiring decision possible.
Here are some things to consider in advance of calling on an Ithaca renovation expert that can help you best detail the project at hand for the pros you’re going to interview to complete it:
- The exact scope of the work – Simply saying a kitchen needs to be remodeled won’t help a contractor quote a price, nor will it give you confidence in the work that will be performed. Before sitting down with a pro, do some homework on options that might be desired, just want must be included in the project and what the finished product should look like. If you’re not sure what you’re after, consider the space involved in your project, look through home magazines or websites or even visit home improvement stores to get some ideas. Then sit down with a contractor to see what’s feasible in the space and what might not be.
- The budget at hand – If you’re dealing with a full remodel, you’ll need to have a good idea of how much money you’re willing to spend. Your contractor, too, will need to know your budget to help you with ideas that will work within its scope and which ones might be too lofty for available funding. If you’re purely getting quotes for the work with the idea of securing financing once you know the numbers, make sure your contractor is aware rather than providing a budget upfront.
Once you have some sound ideas on what you’d like done, it’s time to call in an Ithaca renovation company to see what will work and what won’t. Keep in mind that some give and take might be required when working with a contractor since ideas on paper might not work in the actual space. If, for example, your dream kitchen is an eat-in with a breakfast nook, but your space is too tiny, your contractor might recommend some compromises. Work closely with your Ithaca renovation contractor and chances are your dreams or a close semblance of them will become reality.
